This tour features the beauty of the narrow peninsulas and islands off the coast of North Carolina that are rich in history and natural beauty. Wonderful national sea shore beaches, the highest natural sand dune on the East Coast, historic lighthouses, wild ponies and the site of the first flight of a power-driven airplane are all included in this tour. Travel to the Outer Banks via the unique Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel that connects Virginia's Eastern Shore to Virginia Beach/Norfolk. Day 1 – Departing Rochester, New York today you will travel south en route to the state of Maryland. Traveling around the city of Baltimore you will arrive in Grasonville located on the Chesapeake Bay. Accommodations for the night will be at the Kent Island, Hilton Garden Inn. Dinner this evening will be at a local popular restaurant.

Day 2 – Following breakfast you will continue traveling through the DelMarVa Peninsula into the state of Virginia. A hi-light of your trip to the Outer Banks will be passage on the incredible engineering project the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel that connects Virginia Beach/Norfolk to Virginia's Eastern Shore. Upon arrival in Norfolk there will be time for lunch before you visit the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Continuing on to North Carolina you will arrive at the ocean front Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills, your home for the next three nights. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 3 – After breakfast it's off to Corolla for another memorable experience. Riding in open air vehicles with a naturalist guide, The Wild Horse Safari Tour will introduce you to the Spanish Mustang horses that roam the beach (we guarantee that you will see the horses)! There will be time to visit the lighthouse at Currituck Beach before lunch in the village of Duck. The afternoon will be spent at the Wright Brothers National Monument where a full scale replica of the original "Wright Flyer" is on display. Dinner will be at the hotel this evening.

Day 4 - Following breakfast board the motor coach for a short transfer to Nags Head for a private 2-hour narrated Dolphin Watch sightseeing cruise. After lunch travel through the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, the largest protected seashore on the Atlantic coast. View the historic Rescue Station, Bodie Island Lighthouse and the famous Hatteras Lighthouse, the tallest such brick structure in the United States. Dinner tonight will be at Pamlico Jack's in Nags Head.

Day 5 – Departing the Outer Banks following breakfast and hotel check-out you will travel to Newport News. Admission and a self-guided tour of the Virginia Living History Museum where Virginia's natural history is explored through indoor and outdoor exhibits highlighting geography, geology, plants and animals. The afternoon will be spent traveling to Fredericksburg, Virginia to the Hospitality House Hotel. Dinner will be "on your own" tonight at one of the many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 6 –Enjoy a full breakfast at the hotel before departing Fredericksburg en route home. Anticipated return arrival in Rochester will be approximate 6:00 pm.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT - A $150.00 per person deposit must accompany your reservation. This includes a $25.00 per person non-refundable processing fee in the event of cancellation. Final payment is due THURSDAY, APRIL 4, 2019.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY - A full refund will be given (less the non-refundable processing fee) for cancellations received prior to the final payment date. Cancellations received after the final payment date will be subject to the following penalties:

Up to 45 days prior to departure...........................Processing fee
44 - 30 days prior to departure.........................25% of the trip total
29 - 21 days prior to departure.........................50% of the trip total
20 - 8 days prior to departure.......................... 75% of the trip total
7 days - day of departure or no show...............................No refund

INSURANCE - Purchase of travel insurance for cancellation/interruption is not required, but is highly recommended to protect your travel investment, and is available at an additional cost. Should you wish to receive an insurance form application, please contact the DayTours office.
