ITINERARY

THE CHRISTMAS MARKETS OF MONTREAL

 Day 1 – Departing Rochester early you will travel to Montreal. Your hotel for three nights will be the full-service downtown Novotel Montreal Centre near St. Catherine Street.  Dinner this evening will be at the Alpenhaus known for serving European specialties.  (Dinner)

 Day 2 – Following breakfast board the motor coach and depart for a Christmas History Tour of Montreal.  Learn of the origins of holiday traditions of the local culture.  View the spectacular window displays at La Maison Ogilvy’s known as Montreal’s Macy’s.  Visit Noel Eternal a year-round Christmas shop featuring items from around the world.  At the renowned Bonsecours Market in Old Montreal and located in one of Canada’s finest heritage buildings you will have “A Taste of Quebec” sampling lunch with local food and wine specialties.  Visit the Nutcracker Market Christmas offering over 100 exhibits of food, hand-made items and locally made crafts and gift items.  Dinner tonight will be in Old Montreal in a beautiful historic restaurant.  Following dinner stop at the Place des Festival for a shimmering display of Luminothearpie! (Breakfast, Quebec Tasting Lunch & Dinner)

 Day 3 - After breakfast this morning visit Montreal’s World Trade Center to see the “Santa Claus Around the World “exhibit.  At The Marche de Noel Christmas Market you will be dazzled by the magical animated structures, including animals and puppets.  Many vendors are located on The Place des Arts Esplanade  where you may have lunch “on your own”. Later visit the Salon des Metiers d’art, a juried craft fair with 350 Quebec exhibitors.  The perfect place to purchase a gift or a souvenir treasure of your tour. The highlight of today is a visit to the Chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours where there will be a performance by the choir.  Dinner tonight will be at the French restaurant “Creperie”.  Following dinner you will witness the amazing holiday fireworks display over the Saint Lawrence River.  (Breakfast & Dinner)

 Day 4 – Following breakfast and hotel check-out, one more stop…at The Jean Talon Market.  A European-style market with vendors that sell goods from around the world.  You will find cheese, bread, meat, pastries and spices, a great opportunity to buy take home gifts and treats!  Departing Montreal mid-morning with a late afternoon arrival in Rochester. PASSENGERS ON THIS TRIP MUST CARRY PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP FOR TRAVEL INTO CANADA.    PASSENGERS WITH A CRIMINAL CONVICTION RECORD WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY IN TO CANADA.

 DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT - A $150.00 per person deposit must accompany your reservation.  This includes a $25.00 per person non-refundable processing fee in the event of cancellation.  Final payment is due MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2019.                                                              

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY - A full refund will be given (less the non-refundable processing fee) for cancellations received prior to the final payment date.   Cancellations received after the final payment date will be subject to the following penalties:

Up to 45 days prior to departure............................................Processing fee

44 - 35 days prior to departure......................................25% of the trip total

34 - 28 days prior to departure......................................50% of the trip total

27 - 14 days prior to departure..................................... 75% of the trip total

13 days - day of departure or no show..........................................No refund

 INSURANCE - Purchase of travel insurance for cancellation/interruption is not required, but is highly recommended to protect your travel investment, and is available at an additional cost.  Should you wish to receive an insurance form application, please contact the DayTours office.
